After a fire Chester City council called Beech out for emergency works. The building had been gutted by fire making it unsafe for anyone to enter. Due to the proximity of the building to Chester train station the station was closed until the building was made safe. Beech operatives remotely demolished parts of the building that were unsafe allowing the station to re-open. Using cranes operatives lowered into the building to cut bent steel works, working under the guidance of the fire brigade to make the building safe for them to enter and enable them to carry out a full investigation into the cause of the fire. Beech Group were mobilised within 2 hours of the fire being put out by the fire brigade.
