Beech Group were awarded the contract to demolish the Ardwick Youth Centre in Manchester for Garside Laycock. We had to construct a concrete barrier to protect the nearby canal before works could commence. We completed the full demolition, removed all the foundations and finished the site with a 20 mm weed barrier and crushed brick. The basements were in-filled with crush and the façade of the building required a full scaffold and netting because of the adjacent highway and pavement. The machines used in this project were a CAT 350 semi high reach PC210, a 14 Tonne machine, Cherry picker and a Compressor. The client was very happy with the work. On finishing the site, we erected a paladin fence.
